Ocean Ridge is happy to announce we have appointed a club coach for the 2017/18 season. David Taylor joins the club after an extensive career in England, which included playing 1st class cricket at Worcestershire and Derbyshire. David has coached for a number of years as he just can’t give up the game.
The committee began search for a coach who would add value at all levels and be a key driver in putting Ridge back on top.
Callum, Director of Cricket Operations, has said that David is the man for the job. With a love for the game and passion for developing the young player base, he is sure to be an asset to the season. “This year training will be more structured, with all grades an equal priority. The junior members of the club is a focus for the committee and the coach this year, with an announcement around this soon to come.”
A few members of the top grade team got a taster last weekend with a batting masterclass. Michael Boyer said that he has already learnt a few new tricks and is pumped for this season to start.
We look forward to seeing you all at our first training session this weekend for a great kick off to the season and a meet and greet with David.
